This new view looks westward along the axis of the Perennial Border, for which fall planting is just now commencing.  To your left is the Garden office, and to the right is South Main Street.  The tall plants in view to the left of the fence comprise our tender perennial plantings which will soon be removed as we are just now having our first frosts and freezes of the upcoming winter season.

Watch over the coming days and weeks as we plant our first permanent plantings in the ground.  This beautiful new garden space was designed by North Carolina garden designers Edith Eddelman and Douglas Ruhren.  (Updated 29 October 2008)
